At 8:40 June 16, 2023 one of "Master Teacher Lecture Hall" which was jointly sponsored by the School of Mathematical Sciences of Jiangsu University and the Institute of Applied System Analysis, was held in the conference room on the fourth floor of the School of Mathematical Sciences of Jiangsu University. The guest speaker Professor. Ma from the University of Science and Technology of China is a well-known domestic expert in the field of partial differential equations and nonlinear functional analysis. And more than 40 teachers and students including Professor Zhang Zhitao and Professor Wang Jun from Jiangsu University attended this lecture. The report was presided by Professor Zhang Zhitao, Who is Dean of the Academy of Mathematics.
Professor Ma gave a wonderful academic report which is titled by "Regularity and Estimation of Green's Function for k-Hessian Equation". The Lecture reported in detail about how to obtain consistent gradient estimation and second derivative estimation by introducing two auxiliary functions. By using these two estimates, the existence and asymptotic properties of Green's function of k-hessian equation with corresponding second-order estimates can be obtained.
Professor Ma used vivid language to introduce the background and current research progress of the regularity and estimation about the Green function of the k-Hessian equation which shows his profound mathematical foundation. His report was rich in information, clear in organization, and rigorous in argumentation. The lecture aroused great interest and attention from the teachers and students.
After the report, Professor Ma answered everyone’s questions patiently in details. Then Professor Wang Jun made a concluding speech for this lecture.
