At 15:30 June 16, 2023 one of "Master Teacher Lecture Hall" which was jointly sponsored by the School of Mathematical Sciences of Jiangsu University and the Institute of Applied System Analysis, was held in the conference room on the fourth floor of the School of Mathematical Sciences of Jiangsu University. The guest speaker Professor. Zhang from the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences is a well-known expert in the field of micro-local analysis and nonlinear partial differential equations. And more than 40 teachers and students, including Professor Chen Hong, Vice President of Jiangsu University, Professor Ma Xinan from University of Science and Technology of China, Professor Zhang Zhitao, Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences, Jiangsu University, and Professor Wang Jun, Deputy Dean, attended the lecture. The report was presided over by Vice President Chen Hong.
Vice President Professor Chen Hong introduced the research experience of Academician Zhang Ping to the teachers and students in room, and encouraged the graduate students to learn the spirit of no fear of difficulties, and focusing on their own research longer from Academician Zhang. Academician Zhang’s topic is "On the global solution of the three-dimensional anisotropic Navier-Stokes equation". He reviewed the classic results of the global well-posedness of the three-dimensional anisotropic Navier-Stokes equation firstly, then introduced the existence of the recent global analytical solution in details. In the end, he encourages the teachers and students to continue exploring and researching this issue.
Academician Zhang's wonderful report was simple and easy to understand with concise and direct language. The vivid and interesting examples aroused students' enthusiasm for learning mathematics and triggered further thinking and discussion among teachers and students.
Zhang Ping, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, vice president and legal representative of the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He graduated from Nanjing University with a Ph.D. in 1997. In May of that year, he went to the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to do postdoctoral research. In June 1999, he started working at there. In 2005, he was funded by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. In 2006, he was selected as a national-level candidate for the "New Century Talent Project". In 2007, he won the "China Youth Science and Technology Award". In 2011, he won the "National Natural Science Second Prize". Changjiang Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education (University of Chinese Academy of Sciences) won the "Chen Shiingshen Mathematics Award" in 2019, and was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2021. Academician Zhang Ping is mainly engaged in the research of micro-local analysis and nonlinear partial differential equations. In the semiclassical limit of the one-dimensional Schrödinger-Poisson equation, the global well-posedness of the three-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes and the isoentropic compressibility He has made essential contributions in research directions such as the global weak solution of the Navier-Stokes equation.
